I designed this shawl as a teaching tool for some friends just setting out on their knitting journeys who needed a project that would teach them basic techniques like simple increases and decreases, yarn overs, and basic color changes. But I think even the more experienced among us can enjoy this simple pattern! This can be a great “blank slate” project, so let your creativity run wild: try it out with gradient yarns, different colors for each stripe, yarn scraps, or anything else that strikes your fancy.
