Saracen
by Lynette Meek
This Shawl is created using reversible cables and short-row shaping. This creates a shape similar to a Crescent Moon. The curve also reminds me of the curve an Ocean Bay or the blade of a Saracen warrior. It is completely reversible and the wonderful curve hugs your shoulders.
The Saracen Shawl can be made deeper and/or longer by increasing the short-row shaping wedges; instructions for this are included in the pattern. There are three points in the shawl where changes can be made to widen and lengthen the shawl - hence the wide range for yardage.
