Sarah's Grove
Sarah’s Grove is a wrap or kerchief roughly scalene in shape. It begins with a tiny number of stitches at one side and gradually increases in length and width. It is finished with a lacy border along one edge.
I designed Sarah’s Grove for Nashville’s Haus of Yarn in celebration of the Yarn Bus premiering at the 2014 Stitches Midwest in Schaumburg, Illinois. Sarah’s Grove is the former name of the village now known as Schaumburg.
The pattern is worked in two yarn weights--lace weight and fingering weight.
Stitches and Stitch Combinations: chain, double crochet, double crochet two together, half double crochet, treble crochet, treble crochet two together, two double crochet cluster, two treble crochet cluster, single crochet.
Post-blocking Dimensions: 45.5 inches (115.6 cm) from tip to tip and 17 inches (43.2 cm) wide (lace weight); 55 inches (139.7 cm) from tip to tip and 19.5 inches (49.5 cm) wide (fingering weight).
Charts--the charts included with this pattern are not crochet symbols charts. They are charts with stitch and row counts for the design as it develops.
Please send me a message if you have any questions about this design, or join our group, CrochetWorks. In the next few days, we will begin a Sarah’s Grove CAL.
