Valley Yarns Superwash Bulky Extra Fine Merino, Rico Essentials Mega Wool Chunky and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Chunky

NOTE: The grams listed for each size are written for Valley Yarns Superwash Bulky Extra Fine Merino. When using alternative Chunky/ Bulky yarns please choose a yarn that recommends 6mm (US 10) needles with the stocking stitch tension listed below. You will also need to refer to the yardage/meterage listed below when purchasing your alternative chunky yarn.

Hats look best when stretched onto your head. The width sizes below give an indication of the flat off-the-needle width of the main hat, and the stretch that is possible. The hats can stretch further but I would suggest going up a size if you need additional width for your size/age

You will need:
65 (75, 85, 95, 1105, 120, 135, 150, 165) gms -Valley Yarns Superwash Bulky Extra Fine Merino (available via Lovecrafts.com (UK) and yarn.com (USA)
1 pair of 5mm (US8) single pointed needles / or DPNs (or a fixed circular if preferred)
1 pair of 6mm (US10) single pointed needles / or DPNs (or a fixed circular if preferred)
Tapestry/Darning needle

When ordering alternative Chunky yarns /US Bulky yarns, use the following yards / metres
