Savasana Cardigan
I began creating this design at a time in my life when I was working from home and adopting poor daily habits. Never having a reason to get dressed or even get out of bed in the morning really weighed me down and gave me a whole host of back and neck problems. Getting into a routine of doing daily yoga and ending each session in Savasana, aka the corpse pose, gave me separation between work and well…not work. It allowed me to disconnect as I lay on the ground in a meditative state, letting the stress of the work day drift away.
If you want to get real literal, the cable detailing along the front of the cardigan represents the knots in my neck, while the simple stockinette is the relaxation I aspire to achieve. The split hem is the divide between work and home, and the pockets are just useful.
