Save the Bunnies
I couldn’t resist trying my hand at this snuggly faux fur from Sirdar. Because of its stitch hiding texture, keeping things simple was the only way to go. So I chose stockinette with a color block striping pattern to make an elegant and fun close to the neck cowl.
The name of the cowl is a bit of a play on the idea of using fake fur to humanely fulfill my desire for a super fuzzy wearable. And in tribute to my beloved pet bunnies (that’s Ginger modeling) I’ve decided that I will donate all proceeds from this pattern to the rescue organization I adopted them from. The Georgia House Rabbit Society is a 501(c) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing house rabbits and educating the public about how to be the best bunny families.
For my sample I chose the following colors:
Main Color - Laurel (409)
Contrast Color - Sable (407)
Techniques used: cast on, join to knit in the round, knit, stretchy bind off, carrying yarn up inside of work for stripes.
