Scale to Feather Shawl
This pattern was originally published as Starlight Knitting Society’s contribution to the 2026 Rose City Yarn Crawl, March 5-8, 2026 in Portland, Oregon. This pattern is also available for download as part of the 2026 Pattern Collection: Mythical Creatures.
Inspired by the textures in classic dragon illustrations, the Scale to Feather shawl features stranded color work motifs of each, allowing the wearer to choose which side they prefer that day. Accent cables run up both sides, similar to a dragon’s tail. Worked entirely in the round, with minimal finishing required.
