Scarlet Jumbo Cabled Pillow
There’s something gloriously luscious about accessories made of super-thick yarn. Lush fits the bill perfectly: it’s simple to knit, the two huge cables are set across a background of reverse stockinette are easy to memorize and a great introduction to cabling since the knitter had to cable so few times in the entire project. The combination of being an easy knit, on-trend, and a quick project makes it a fantastic addition to any knitter’s gift-giving repertoire.
The pillow-cover fits a pillow measuring 20” by 20” (one easy-to-find example is the Ullkaktus pillow from IKEA). It is knit in a rectangle with a fold-over flap that closes with a button which allows you to remove the cover to clean it, or to swap it out with a version in another colour!
