In developing this pattern, Erin wanted to create something graphic and bold — but with the flexibility to play with colour and pattern without having to memorise complex colour repeats. A simple 4-stitch, 4-round repeat can be altered in infinite ways to set different moods for your garment. You can change the contrast or main body colours to create gingham or arrange stripes of checkers — the possibilities are endless.

The pullover is worked top-down with raglan shaping. Once the yoke is complete, the body length is fully adjustable to your preference — you can make it super cropped or longer and cozy. Longer body lengths will need more yarn than listed in the yardage notes. The collar is added last as this makes it easier to customize the collar by adjusting the ribbing length and/or stitch pick-up rate, creating your preferred fit around the neck.
