Scrappy Headband
The Scrappy Headband is worked back and forth in one piece in broken rib stitch, then seamed at the end to create a twist.
Sizes: 1 ( 2, 3 )
Headband Width:
8 ( 11, 14 ) cm / 3¼ ( 4¼ , 5½ ) ”
Circumference of the headband is adjustable
Yarns:
The Scrappy Headband is designed to help use up leftover yarns you have from other projects. You will need apprximately 50-80m for each strand of yarn in your combination. Here are some suggestions of yarn weight combinations:
3 x Fingering + 2 x Lace
2 x DK + 1 x Lace
1 x DK + 2 x Fingering + 2 x Lace
1 x Worsted + 1 x Fingering + 2 x Lace
1 x Bulky + 1 x Fingering
2 x Fingering + 3 x Lace
1 x DK + 3 x Lace
2 x Worsted
1 x Super Bulky
The sample is knitted with three strands of fingering weight yarn and two strands of lace mohair held together.
Gauge:
13 sts x 17 rows = 10cm 4” in broken rib stitch,
on 8.00 mm US 11 needles, after blocking
Suggested Needle: 8.0 mm / US 11 needles
