Pattern Notes:

  • This cardigan is created by making two halves at the same time.
  • You will work back and forth between them until they grow to the point where they are large enough to pin and try on.
  • Each half is made with a hexagon shaped granny square, as indicated in the instructions.
  • Once both halves are large enough, you will seam together one side of each to create a center-back, then you’ll seam each half to create sleeves.
  • Once the basic shape of the cardigan is completed, you will continue in rounds around each sleeve opening to lengthen the sleeves to your desired length.
  • The bottom hem of the cardigan will remain untouched and may be slightly cropped.
  • Weave in ends while you work! Lay any tails of yarn that were fastened off in a previous row along the top of the stitches you are currently working. Work around the tail while making new stitches so as to enclose it inside of the base of your stitch. - The chain 3 at the beginning of each rnd counts as a double crochet.
  • The chain 2 spaces are the corners of the hexagon.
