~ Description
Do you have scrap balls of yarn lying around from past projects? If you’re like me, then you feel wasteful throwing them away so you keep them for a future use. Well now I’ve got the perfect use for them! This 90’s inspired scrunchie is the perfect use for those scraps. You only need 35 yards of yarn to make yourself a gorgeous scrunchie!
This scrunchie uses sewing elastic inside instead of a hair elastic to ensure extra support. I wanted my scrunchie to hold up and last a long time. Before releasing this pattern, I have worn mine daily for nearly 3 weeks and it is still perfect!
All patterns are written in standard US terms.
~ Skills
This is an intermediate level crochet pattern and the techniques involved are honeycomb trellis stitch, decreasing, and seaming.
~Materials
Approx. 35 yarns of worsted weight yarn. You will also need a size H/5 mm crochet hook and a small piece of 1/4 inch sewing elastic.
