This happy set is way easier to make then it looks, which is its genius and its charm. The entire trick is to use two different colourways from different sides of the colour spectrum. This gives a partli-coloured, madcap sense of fun to the projects that is heightened by the little bands of simple lace at brim and ankle. The pattern is exceedingly well and thoroughly written (all the decreases for the hat’s crown are listed separately, as are all the heel turn rows). Full instructions are included for grafting the toe, too.
