If you’ve been knitting for a while, you probably have a collection of leftover bits from various projects you’ve made. I’ve long been fascinated by scrappy projects and I have Big Opinions about which ones succeed and which ones don’t. In my mind, a successful scrappy project is one where the results look intentional, rather than just looking like making do.

This scarf probably contains upwards of 40 different yarns. It’s worked in a tube in stockinette stitch. I defined a color theme as a way to help give it some cohesion. The beauty of this pattern, though, is that you can be as orderly or as chaotic as you would like.

The pattern is published in my first post on my new Substack, Notes From the Studio. I hope you’ll check it out and maybe, subscribe.
