When I miss the sea but my next vacation is still a long way off, I just knit a little maritime design for my home In the third variation of the “Sea Love” series, a turtle paddles leisurely through the coral reef.

The double sided knitting technique makes the potholders nice and thick and they look great from both sides. Of course, you can also make beautiful wash cloths from the motifs using finer yarn.

Required skills:

basic crochet skills (for the handle)

100 % cotton, 125 m / 50 gr, approx. 30-35 g per colour (blue and white, light blue and grey)
circular needles 2.5 mm / US 1 ½
crochet hook 3 mm

Wenn mich die Sehnsucht nach dem Meer packt, die nächsten Ferien aber noch weit entfernt sind, stricke ich mir einfach ein bisschen Meer für daheim. In der dritten Ausgabe der „Lust auf Meer“-Serie paddelt eine Schildkröte gemütlich durch das Korallenriff. Und auch eine Muschel darf ihre volle Pracht entfalten.

Dank der Doubleface Stricktechnik werden die Topflappen schön dicht und sehen von beiden Seiten gleich toll aus. Wenn Du dünneres Garn verwendest, kannst Du aus den Motiven ebenfalls schöne Waschlappen machen.
