My sister-in-law Joan said that this little scarflet’s stitch pattern looked like a sea of pearls. It is because of the yarns that were used and the color but it made me think of a beaded decorative edge, optional, of course, but quite attractive.

I used two different colors of the Koigu Lace Merino; LC = pearly white L30117 and DC = light blue/grey L4361, 25g each color.

Detailed step-by-step instructions for working the beaded edge are included. You will need a beading crochet hook No12 .60mm as well as a normal crochet hook size C/2.5mm if you want to add the beading.

It is a lovely stitch for scarves because both sides have a different appearance. It would also work well as a large rectangular shawl.
