Sea Surf
A confident beginner is, no doubt, very comfortable with the basic knit stitch and working in garter stitch, in which every row is knitted. And more than likely, somewhere early in one’s knitting journey, yarn overs have been used as an increase or in a simple lace pattern. However, it is less likely that the magic of multiple yarn overs has been explored as they are in this Sea Surf scarf where double, triple, even quadruple yarn overs are worked to create an impressive undulating—yes, magical—pattern. Incorporating self-striping yarn or working in a solid or semi-solid yarn offers endless possibilities of individuality.
