The Sea Breeze cardigan and is the creative work of Elizabeth Johnston Shetland Handspun

One of the 13 patterns featured in the forthcoming Shetland Wool Week Annual 2022 it also takes centre stage on the cover

Elizabeth describes Sea Breeze as a study in blue evoking images of the sea around Shetland in a fresh breeze, with a touch of lighter colours as the sun catches ripples on the water.

It is a big knit, but we like knitting, and the design is straightforward and simple, worked in one complete piece with no finishing needed.
It’s a long cardigan, with drop shoulders and no sleeves. It can be worn in a waterfall or cross-over style. You can subtract or add length for a shorter cardigan or a longer jacket style.

Sea Breeze is a beautiful and stylish transitional piece and is very, very cosy!
Knit in Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift in beautiful blues with a hint of ‘Wild Violet’ pink.
