Seam on Seam is a collaboration between independent dyer The Uncommon Thread and designer Veera Välimäki, and will initially be offered exclusively as part of a kit sold in The Uncommon Thread’s website. Look for details about shop updates in The Uncommon Thread’s Ravelry group, or sign up for their email newsletter!

The Uncommon Thread will be offering yarn and pattern kits from Monday 15 September at 4pm BST.

The pattern was exclusive until the end of January 2015, now available as a Ravelry download.

Sometimes one single texture is not nearly enough! Sometimes you want to see the yarn shine in all different stitch patterns you can think of. Seam on seam is all about textures and seams, but the sweater will be worked in one piece, joining different parts of the sweater as you go.

Finished chest circumference: 40 (44, 48, 52, 56, 60)” /102 (112, 122, 132, 142, 152) cm. Choose a size with approx. 10” 25 cm of positive ease.

Note: the sweater is both oversized and asymmetric; you’ll have approx. 2” (5 cm) of ease on left side and 8” (20 cm) of ease on right side of the sweater.
