Seanair for Women
IMPORTANT: Version 1.1 (the corrected version of the original) has been uploaded. Make sure you’re using the correct version.
Instructions are given for both cardigan and pullover. Cardigan is worked in one piece to the underarms; pullover is worked in the round to the underarms. In both cases, the upper back and upper fronts are worked back and forth in rows. After the shoulders are joined, stitches are picked up around the armhole and the gusset sleeve is worked in the round to the cuffs.
Roomy fit, especially in the upper arms. Should be about 3” to 4” larger than chest at fullest, but shoulders should be no more than 1” wider.
This is resized for women from the men’s version which appears in the Deep Fall 2012 issue of Knitty. The shoulders width is smaller, armhole depth is shorter, and sleeves are shorter.
Finished chest measurements range from 31.3 to 67.3 inches in roughly 2” increments (because there is such a thing as “too roomy”).
