The town of Maldon in Essex, England is known for its production of sea salt. This pattern combines the gently lapping waves of the estuary waters with a crystalline pattern to represent the salt.

The socks are worked top down with a heel flap, and the pattern is best seen in a semi solid yarn.

This pattern has been tested and tech edited.
