MORE INFORMATION:
• Beginner-friendly small project uses chains, slip stitch and UK double crochet/US single crochet decreases, working an edging and sewing together.
• For this project, I used DK cotton yarns – the quantities of yarn and finished sizes quoted are for this weight of yarn.
• You’ll also need a crochet hook suitable the yarn you’re using (check the yarn’s ball band; I used a 4mm/US G/6 for DK yarn), one button, and a stick such as a barbecue skewer.
• Pattern includes how-to tutorial and diagrams to help you make up the pinwheel.

DESIGNER INSPIRATION:
Becky Skuse says: “Capture all the fun of a trip to the seaside with these simple pinwheels. They’re so easy and fun to crochet, and perfect for making on holiday or once you get back. Get the kids to help you choose yarn and buttons for a really special make. I used spare yarn from my stash and chose in-betweeny colours of blue-green, grey-beige, purple-pink and orange-brown. I wanted to reflect how the unique light at the seaside can change the tone of a colour. They make lovely gifts and they’re a great stashbuster. Enjoy!”
