Seaside Serendipity
Show the world that peace and charity is stronger than war and violence. And you did! In the past few days from March 2 to March 5 2022, all proceeds from the digital pattern of Seaside Serendipity went entirely to Giro 555. The umbrella organization of 11 international foundations that together provide all aid to refugees from Ukraine - but also to the population and animals that are still there. In the end I also added the profit from the booklets and a small amount of myself to the donation - which brought us to no less than € 3000.00. What a great amount and thank you to you!!!! You will find all the details about this donation on my website.
The Seaside Serendipity is a beautiful and very elaborate pattern. You make a journey from the Dutch seabed to the coast in ten parts. On your way you will encounter all facets of Dutch nature. The pattern includes St, Jacob’s shells, herrings, seaweed, beach houses and seagulls. Each part has its own charm and piece of story. Just like the Spice Market, this pattern falls under the extensive patterns that you can really crochet away as a story.
Due to the size of this pattern, it was decided to bundle it into a booklet at first. The amount of text, photos and explanations are so extensive that this is the best way to convey this. In addition, this is a great way to protect my work from possible digital theft. But, due recent events I have just made the decision, I have decided to also make the digital version of this pattern available right away.
