Secret of a Summer Night is my contribution to the Progress, Hope, and Happiness 2018 Collection. This year’s theme is Women & Water. I translated the theme into a feminine pair of socks with a wavy lace pattern.

Designed with the stunning Alpenglow colourway on A Hundred Ravens Patos sock yarn, these socks are the perfect summer project to knit and wear. Short, airy leg part and reverse stockinette stitch sole are my favourite features in a summer sock.

Constructed as classic top down socks, you start by knitting the wavy lace cuff, then make a reinforced heel flap, and finally knit the foot and round toe with a princess sole. Please note that the cuff does not have any ribbing, so it may sit loosely on your ankle. If you want a tighter cuff, use smaller needles for the lace portion of the sock.

Sizes: S (M, L, XL) - 18 (20.5, 23, 25.5) cm / 7 (8, 9, 10)“ foot circumference, length of foot is adjustable

Choose a size about 2.5 cm / 1” smaller than actual foot circumference.
