When a pirate theme was chosen for the yarn crawl, I knew right away that I wanted my theme to be mermaids. I have always loved mermaids and having lived near water for the last 24 years, I thought the waves of the ocean and mermaid tails needed to me a part of this project…. and soon Secretly A Mermaid came to life.

Created for the Pacific Northwest Yarn Crawl, Secretly A Mermaid is easy to adapt to other sizes by simply increasing or decreasing in multiples of 8. The yarn is our own yarn hand-dyed in Gig Harbor, WA created especially for the crawl. This pattern has been test knit.
