Seed Sweater is designed to be a simple sweater that you can wear daily with your jeans or a dress. You can knit a wardrobe bottom sweater in different yarn weights and with varying types of wool to achieve a completely different style.
The tiny slipped stitches that dot the body of the sweater are inspired by the flower of the Thai plant “Bunga Seed Sweater”, from which the sweater takes its name.

Notes on construction

Seed Sweater is a mid-season sweater with effortless bottom-up raglan construction. The elastics have a small rolled detail and a twisted ribbing. The body is dotted with tiny slip stitches, and the sleeves are worked in garter stitch in the round. A simple sweater with a loose fit that can be knitted in fingering and DK. Wouldn’t it be your new favourite sweater?

DK WEIGHT: 566 (657, 728, 861) (1031, 1207, 1318, 1577) m / 619 (719, 796, 942) (1128, 1320, 1441, 1725) yds of DK weight yarn on a merino base or similar.

FINGERING WEIGHT: 695 (797, 912, 1042) (1243, 1463, 1633, 1913) m / 760 (872, 997, 1140) (1359, 1600, 1786, 2092) yds of fingering weight yarn.

Suggested yarn

For this sweater, I have worked with two weights of LITLG. I imagine Seed Sweater as a sweater for the day today, so I thought it would be nice to allow you to knit it in addition to your favourite colour and your favourite yarn weight to get different styles with the same pattern.

DK WEIGHT: 3 (3, 4, 4) (5, 6, 6, 7) skeins of LITLG DK Twist, DK weight (100 g / 225 m; 3.53 oz / 246 yd; 100% Merino - colour “Oyster” / #palegreen.

FINGERING WEIGHT: 2 (3, 3, 3) (4, 5, 5, 6) skeins of LITLG Sock Twist, fingering weight (100 g / 365 m; 3.53 oz / 400 yd; 80% Superwash Merino & 20% Nylon - colour “Rose Gold” / #pink variegated.

NEEDLES

DK WEIGHT: 4 / 3.50 mm US 6 / 4 60 / 80 cm US 24 / 32” - 55 / 75 cm 22 / 30” circular needle, or the required needle size to obtain the correct gauge, going down one size for the ribbing and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs).

Seed Sweater está diseñado para ser un sweater sencillo que puedes usar todos los días con tus jeans o con un vestido. Un jersey de fondo de armario que puedes tejer en diferentes grosores y con distintos tipos de lana para conseguir un estilo completamente diferente.
Los pequeños puntos deslizados que salpican el cuerpo del sweater están inspirados en la flor de la planta tailandesa “Bunga Seed Sweater” de la que el sweater toma su nombre.

Acerca de la construcción

Seed Sweater es un sweater de entretiempo con una construcción raglán muy sencilla que se teje de abajo hacia arriba (bottom-up). Los elásticos se tejen retorcidos y tienen un pequeño detalle enrollado. El cuerpo está salpicado de diminutos puntos deslizados y las mangas se tejen en punto musgo (bobo) en circular. Un sweater sencillo con un corte holgado que se puede tejer en grosor DK y Fingering. Quizá se convierta en tu nuevo jersey favorito?
