seedpod purse
♥ seedpod purse ♥
What do faeries carry in their seedpod purses?
Why I don’t think they would mind if I told you one bit.
Buttons, feathers, jingle bells, cat whiskers, toadstools,
pebbles, seeds, knots, dimes & fishhooks.
Oops, I shouldn’t have said that.
you can get this pattern 2 different ways:
- it is featured in my new book Woodland knits.
- you can download the pdf right here on this page ♥
the technical stuff
Measurements: 8” wide and 11” tall including tassel.
Yarns used: Aran weight “felt-able” wool such as:
MC: Cascade Pastaza, 50% Llama 50% wool, 100 g - 132 yds - 120 m, Color: dark green 045, 1 ball.
Tension/gauge: (Gauge given is for pre-felted bag.)
This yarn normally gets 16 sts = 4”. We are using larger needles so the bag felts better. Bigger holes, better felting!
12 sts = 4” in St stitch with US 10.5 or 6.5 mm needles & MC.
Notions:
A pair of US 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular needles 16” long
A set of US 10.5 (6.5 mm) dpns, stitch marker, tapestry needle, size P crochet hook for making the strap.
