The pattern in this hat reminds me of my hometown, Los Angeles, which is known for its earthquakes. To create the unique texture you will work the stitches into a loop not normally used in most stitch patterns. It’s simple enough for a beginner who is ready to shake things up and move beyond the basic stitches.

This pattern was available as a free pattern featured on the BoneBat Show (episode seven) until March 1st, 2009. It has been tweaked to improve fit and offers tips to adapt to your own style.
