Shawl is knit beginning with the lace border. Short rows in stockinette shape the shawl into a gentle crescent. While fingering/sock weight yarns are recommended, you can use any weight yarn as long as you have sufficient yarn to complete the project.

The main needle for the shawl is size 6, but I knit large, so I recommend knitting a swatch before starting to see if size 6 or size 7 is correct for you. The gauge is mainly to ensure the listed shawl dimensions.
