This design is the last of the series—twelve cowls in sequence knitting for 2024. This month, we’re working the {k3, (p1, k1) 3 times, p3} sequence on the bias, shaped with increases at the end of each row for the lower portion of this bandanna-shaped cowl. Then we’ll knit straight in Irish Moss stitch, and seam this section together at the back of the cowl. This pattern, like all the others in the series, comes with traditional instructions and a chart, as well as the sequence knitting instructions.

The techniques you will need to know, or learn, in order to complete this project are:

  • cast on and bind off;
  • knit and purl;
  • kfb increase.
