This pattern includes instructions for making a scarf or shawl in any size and any yarn weight. The “serendipity” of the title refers to a particularly pleasing combination of lace patterns that I happened upon by accident. Tips for deciding on the size of your finished piece based on the amount of yarn you have on hand are included, as are complete instructions. Lace patterns are given as both charts and written instructions. The scarf is knit in two halves and joined in the middle, so instructions for grafting and three-needle bindoff are included as well.
