Beauty and practicality combine in the Shadow Weave Placemats & Table Runner. Gorgeous gradients of color combine to make a striking design for your tabletop.

Both placemat and table runner are worked in slip stitch pattern, then stitches are picked up along selvedges (each done separately) and edging is worked to frame the piece.

This knitting pattern includes both charts and written instructions.

Substitution Notes
The original yarn is a fingering weight yarn designed for colourwork. It’s 100% wool and is not superwash. It’s a “sticky” yarn and the fibres will begin to hold together on their own through use. Suitable replacements are lofty, traditional wools.

Techniques
Crochet cast on, working slipped stitch pattern from charts or written instructions, picking up and knitting, slip stitch selvedge.
