Lately I find myself knitting more baby things than expected. My friends are popping out babies left and right. This particular blanket is dedicated to one of my bestest buddies. I do not need to tell her who she is. She knows how much her friendship means to me and how much I text her when I can’t find her online for my daily dose of BFF! Here’s to a healthy and wonderful baby, my friend. I love you, girl.

Now don’t let the fact that the sample shown here is a blanket deter you from making a scarf or shawl out of this stitch pattern. I think it would make a beautiful stole! Just cast on any multiple of 15 stitches plus 11 and follow the pattern.

I would say this pattern is intermediate since it has cables and lace. The pattern includes written instructions and a chart. You can use either.
