Welcome to the Fall 2021 Knitalong! Our knitalongs are a wonderful way to learn and grow in new ways. We accomplish that through learning knitting skills, accountability (to stick to your knitting goal!), round the clock knitting support and connection with other like-minded makers. About the pattern:

The Shake Your Groove Thing Poncho is all about getting your groove on in a design that makes you smile! It’s a top down, super easy knit where you get to do you with color and yarn mixing. We also love the asymmetrical rows of tasseled trim adorning this piece. If you a beginner knitter, this might just be the pattern for you. Or if you are looking for a fun and creative way to express yourself through knitting, this poncho has your name on it!

What comes in your kit:

• The yarn needed to complete this project, including 1-2 skeins of Spun Cloud yarn and 2-3 Mini Sampler Kits (required yarn amount varies upon size you purchase).

• Knitalong Guide with the pattern and all the info and resources you’ll need to be successful with your project. You will receive this as a PDF download with your kit purchase that you will receive by email.

• Muslin pouch, tape measure, darning needle, 5 Cocoknits stitch markers, Knit Collage label for you to personalize and sew onto your finished KAL piece and a pretty embellished ribbon from Amy’s India travels tying it all together.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate Knitter

Needle Size:

Size US 13 (9 mm) 32” / 80 cm circular needle for ribbing

Size US 19 (15 mm) 40” / 100 cm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge

Size N / US 15 (10 mm) crochet hook for edging, optional for adding fringe

Adjust needle sizes as necessary to match gauge.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3)

Finished Measurements:

Recommended to fit the following ranges of bust circumferences: 32-42 (42-52, 52-62)” / 80-106.5 (106.5-132, 132-157.5) cm

Fit Note:

Sizing shown is a broad range and only a recommendation. You may prefer a smaller or larger size based on your desired fit. Both Samples are a size 1 shown on a 32” / 80 cm and a 40” / 100 cm bust.

Gauge:

6 sts and 10 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch worked flat using Spun Cloud and larger needles, steam blocked (See Pattern Notes)

Materials:

Main Color (MC): 1 (2, 2) skein(s) Spun Cloud (100% wool; approx. 100 yds / 200 g)

Contrast Colors (CC): 2 (3, 3) Mini Skein Sampler kits (approx. 85 yds / 164-170g - 5 mini skeins of yarn included per kit, 17 yds / skein)

Sample 1 is shown in Spun Cloud French Vanilla with Mini Skein Sampler kits in Dusty Mauve and Mustard, and Sample 2 is shown in Spun Cloud Frosty Green with Mini Skein Sampler kits in Lilac and Bouquet.
