Shallow Arrow
Shallow Arrow Shawl
Inspiration: This design was inspired by the shape of arrow heads and the acute angle that is formed at the tip. It also became a sampler for different lace and rib patterns that I wanted to try out. The shawl couldn’t just be called Arrow though. The rest of the name came about from watching the movie A Star Is Born. The song Shallow has become one of my favourites which I now hum every time I work on this shawl. So Shallow Arrow was born!
Originally designed using a whole skein of fingering weight yarn and a set of seven minis, it has now been knit in a couple of other variations - see projects - all give a striking view of the patterns and shape of the shawl in different ways.

Original version used 100 g (425 m) of main colour light fingering weight plus 7x 20 g mini skeins for contrast colours
