Shamrock Cardigan
The Shamrock Cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece with raglan sleeves. At cast on, markers are placed before and after each of the 4 2-st raglan sections. On RS rows, you will increase one stitch before the first marker with a yo, then you slip the marker, k2 for the raglan section, slip the second marker, then yo again after the second marker. The markers hug the raglan sections, and the increases are worked before the first marker and after the second marker. Once the fronts, back, and sleeves are the correct number of stitches, these increases stop and the remainder of the sweater will be worked without increases. The sleeve stitches will be placed on waste yarn to be finished after the body is complete. Ribbing will be added to the sleeves, neckline and front to finish the sweater.
The 2021 Edition of the Shamrock Cardigan does have a few changes. The original yarn is no longer available. Though you can substitute other yarns as long as you are able to get gauge, I do want the pattern to include a currently available yarn. The original pattern only went up to a finished size of 46 in/117 cm, and the updated pattern has expanded the size range to include a wider range of sizes up to a finished size of 57 in/145 cm at the bust.
