Shamrocks
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
Summary These tiny shamrocks are light as a feather. Each one uses just over a yard of thread and measures around 1 inch in length depending of the size ring used. As jewelry, they’re so light you won’t even notice they’re there. As stitch/row markers, they’ll grace your WIP without weighing it down.
They would be quite beautiful done with a couple strands of rayon embroidery thread and a slightly smaller crochet hook.
Additional Yardage Info
Each individual shamrock will take approximately one yard of thread plus a bit more for the starting and ending tails that will be cut off when they’re complete.
Additional Supplies
- A #10 hook is very useful for hiding thread ends
- Split rings or soldered jump rings (you don’t want the shamrocks slipping off the ring)
- fine chain necklace or ear ring wires if you’re making jewelry rather than stitch markers
- lobster claw or any other style open hook if you’d like to make row markers
