This is the best friendiest cowlette you ever did see!

This cowlette and its companion shawl were designed to showcase both some beautiful yarns AND a beautiful friendship. LJ and I have been friends for a loooooong time, and our friendship is one of the most special relationships we both have. We are birthday twins, we work closely together on oodles of things, we both deep-dive into crafty (and sometimes non-craft) obsessions, and we text a bazillion times a day. As the My Little Ponies say, “friendship is magic,” and I’m here to tell you that is true, true, true.

MATERIALS
Yarn: approximately 600 yards/549 m fingering-weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit Fairy Floss in Eliza Frünke (cA, 200 yds/183 m) and Fingering in Astonish Mint (cB, 400 yds/366 m).
Needles: US5/3.75mm (or size to obtain gauge) circular needle, 24”/60 cm or longer.
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

GAUGE
18 sts & 36 Rs= 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking.
18 sts & 36 Rs = 4”/10 cm in stockinette with bobbles, measured after blocking.
