Shark
Knit your own toy shark, 15” long from nose to tail. This shark is a knitted marvel, even his pointy teeth are knitted. And with only two short seams he’s a perfect project for the knitter who doesn’t like to sew. This pattern was created for my (then) 4 year old. “Mom, can you knit me a shark?” Who can resist a design brief like that?
For an INTERMEDIATE knitter. The shark is mostly knitted in the round in one piece on dpns with some areas worked flat, there are lots of picked up stitches, some increasing and decreasing and the teeth made with short row shaping (fully explained in the pattern).
The teeth require 5 yards of Sport Weight yarn and US size 1 dpns. 70 yds of the Worsted Weight is Gray and 10 yards is Pink (I can’t fit that in the yarn requirements above).
