Shark Attack! Dolls Blanket
This pattern has been discontinued whilst I update the doll pattern. I’m working as fast as I can , however it may take a while.
Jesse has his own Shark blanket to snuggle in or play imaginative games with his best friend Josie
(She has a Mermaid tail blanket- available in a separate pattern)
Jesse snuggles inside the shark’s mouth, just like a sleeping bag- With Teeth!!
This version was knitted in Grey Rowan Tweed yarn; the slightly marled yarn produces a lovely shark skin texture. Any standard double knit yarn will work, any shade of grey or even blue/grey will look good
The shark tail is knitted first and the body of the blanket is flat knitted up from the tail with a back seam- Picked up stitches are used to join the tail and the body section, if you prefer you can make each piece separately and sew them together later when you sew on the fins, eyes and teeth.
You can easily adjust the length of the blanket to fit dolls other than Jesse by knitting fewer or more rows of stocking stitch to the body section of the pattern. To help you with sizing for other dolls, Jesse is 40cm/ 15.5” tall and his waist is 28cm/ 11”
This pattern uses basic knit, purl, cast on and binds off, with the addition of simple increase and decrease stitches. A stitch count is given for each increase or decrease row.
This pattern is only for Jesse’s Shark blanket.
