Shawlography Blanket
Shawlography Blanket features 5 colors of DK weight yarn. Begin in the center with striped short row wedges and then work your way to the border with plush textures and slip stitches. The final border is knit around the circular blanket as an attached border, so there is barely any seaming required. If you love the Shawlography mystery shawl, then get your needles ready for this epic adventure in Westknits blanket knitting!

needed to obtain gauge
Notions
1 stitch marker, tapestry needle
Gauge
20 sts & 40 rows = 4′′ / 10cm in garter stitch after
blocking
Try to get close to the recommended stitch gauge to ensure you don’t run out of yarn. A similar stitch gauge is more important than getting an exact row gauge.
Color Note
You can arrange your five colors however you like
for colors A, B, C, D, & E. The colors will shift and create different combinations throughout the blanket.
Color A: I recommend using a color pop for color A or your favorite color in your palette as color A.
Color B: Color B will be featured as a main color in the beginning of the shawl, framing the other 4 contrast colors. Color B works well as the lightest or darkest color in your palette. This color won’t always be a “framing” color, but it will frame all the other colors in Section 2.
Colors C, D, & E: The color placement doesn’t matter as much for these colors so it’s okay to place them in a random order.
There is no right or wrong choice for placing your colors, so it’s also okay to designate a random placement for you colors A, B, C, D, & E. You will see all five colors equally throughout the blanket and each color has a moment to shine.
