Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Skills Needed: Basic Knitting skills, Working in the round, Simple Cables, Decreases
Size: One Size
Finished Measurements:
8.25” depth X 20.5” circumference

Materials:
1 skein Lorna’s Laces Cloudgate
(120 yds per 100 g, 90% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Nylon), Shown in Yarn Year Round Custom Colorway, “Winter Wheat”
US Size 9, 16” Circular Needle (Or size to obtain correct gauge)
US Size 9 Double Point Needles
Stitch Markers
Cable Needle
Tapestry Needle
Pom Pom Maker (optional)

Gauge: 14 sts and 20 rows=4” in Stockinette Stitch
This yarn does grow when blocked if you do not machine wash. Remember, use whatever needle necessary to get the desired gauge. A difference in gauge can cause a change in size or yarn requirements. If you’d like less of a slouchy look, you may prefer to go down in needle size!

Pattern Notes:
This pattern was designed to accompany the Yarn Year Round custom yarn colorway, Winter Wheat, created by Stitch Space & Lorna’s Laces. The bulky weight yarn knits up quickly into a hat that has just enough detail to keep it interesting. If you prefer to keep it simple, just work stockinette after the ribbing portion, and then follow the decrease instructions for the crown.
