Sheila
This boxy, loose crochet shirt features a round neck and modified drop-shoulders. A simple lace pattern is used to create a laid-back summer vibe. A keyhole detail at the back of the neck adds a lovely touch to this design. Sheila is named after the designer’s Nanna who always wore lacy knitted tops in the summer. This drapey design is a more relaxed interpretation of the pieces she made herself.

NOTES
Both the main body and sleeves of this oversized top are worked from the bottom up beginning with the waistband and cuffs, respectively. The back features a shallower shaping at the neck, with a split worked for a keyhole button opening. Two short sleeves have central increases to provide subtle shaping. The top is sewn together at the shoulders and sides and finally the sleeves are sewn in place. The design is finished with simple stitches around the neckline to incorporate a button loop.
