Shelfie the Gnome is an incredibly quick and customizable project that will give you a smile year round. The body and hat are worked as one piece and with the addition of a little faux fur, Shelfie comes to life with a beard all his own.

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn. I used cotton for the base and nose and Red Heart various yarns for the hat.
Go For Faux yarn, or any faux fur yarn
5mm crochet hook
Darning needle
Scissors
Cardboard circle the size of your base and beans or bag of rice to help weight your gnome down.

Shelfie is worked in one continuous piece with his beard added on at the end. You can customize the colors used, add stripes, don’t add stripes, give him a long flowing beard or a short mustache. The options are endless!
