Thank you so much for your interest in Shelly the Mermaid! This pattern creates a beautiful, mystical mermaid and includes instructions for customizing the look! Instructions are included for FOUR different hairstyle types! The pattern creates a final sized doll of a 15-16 inches.

This doll is created from the bottom up and requires sewing only for the tail fin at the bottom. The body / neck / head are all made as one piece and the arms are crocheted into the piece as you go. Minimal sewing for the win! You will need to sew the hair, depending on hair style chosen.

This pattern is most appropriate for intermediate crocheters with knowledge of the magic circle, bobble stitch, shell stitch and other more basic stitches. However, the pattern includes many photos and video tutorials, so if you are an advanced beginner looking for the next challenge, the pattern is written in a beginner friendly manner!
