Shetland Inspired
Work through the basics of stranded and lace knitting to create these Shetland inspired fingerless gloves
Starting with a rib then on to simple bands of Fair Isle worked from a graph, then topped off with a traditional feather and fan lace design and picot cast off edge.
The design is worked on 2 needles using a DK weight yarn but can easily be adapted to knit on the round.
You will need
1 x A sh 190 stone
1 x B sh 170 seafarer
1 x C sh 161 avocado
1 x D sh 152 watery
1 x E sh 150 rage
1 x pair of 3.25mm and 4mm needles
Sewing up needle
Tension: approx 24sts over 32 rows stocking stitch using 4mm needles
Finished size: approx 20cm wide across fair isle band and 18cm long
