Leigh writes in her book, “This luxurious alpaca piece drapes beautifully and feels fabulous around the neck. to create the unusual surface design, you knit the fabric, then wrap small sections of it with rubber bands, then felt it. When the felting process is complete and the fabric is dry, you remove the rubber bands to reveal the newly texturized surface.”
