This beginner Granite stitch dishcloth is made up of a classic pattern of chain stitches and single crochet. It is simple to work up, and the resulting fabric has a little drape. The combination of a muti-colored yarn with a solid color yarn, crocheted in alternating stripes, creates the appearance of sunlight on deep water. The color changes occur every two rows, which means that the new yarn color will always be in the correct place to start a row without having to fasten off and join in a new color.
