Cool seasons are here and many knitters will be busy making winter gears for themselves, family members and friends. It is never too many hats… If I had 100 hats, it means I would have different hat for every winter day. But most of my knitted hats become gifts as soon as I have a visitor or guest.
It is usually quick project with little amount of yarn yardage, which could be made over one or couple evenings and gives great satisfaction to anybody who would use it.

Short Rows Beret - is an classic beret,always in fashion, knitted from side to side in short rows. It is an adjustable pattern - the knitter would make as many repeats as it would require for unique head circumference. The pattern forms the shape of the classic beret by knitting short rows in certain sequence. After making one beret, the knitter will easy figure out the main principle and will be able to make any desired size.
The best yarn weight would be worsted - it would prevent the beret from deformation. As far yarn brand - this particular project was made out of Red Heart - it is soft and keeps the form very well.
