Gauge: 21 stitches/23 rows per 4” on size 6 needles

Requires size 6 needles (straight or circular) and size 5 (circular or DPN)

Pattern calls for one skein of “Ice Cream Big Scoop”, which is a larger sized skein of the original “Ice Cream”. Actual yardage is not listed.

Also required:

• 24” elastic (1”)
• Button
• Needle and thread

NOTES FROM PATTERN:

1. Top is worked in two pieces - Back and Front.
2. Decreases are worked on Top to create a cute A-line shape.
3. A slit is made at the center Back so the Top will slide easily over baby’s head!
4. Garter st (k every st every row) edging is worked at neck and arm holes of Top.
5. Legs of shorts are worked separately then joined to work the waistband .
6. Waistband is folded to make a casing for the elastic - waist size can be adjusted by cutting the elastic to correct length.
7. End with a WS row means that the row you worked is on the wrong side, and the next row that is ready to work is on the RS (right side).
